Twee El Topo

I was immediately down with the art style, but it took me another minute and a half beforeLittle Devil Insidewormed its way into my brain as something I really, really want to play. A beautiful, surreal little thing that reminds me ofTearaway, but more free form like the latter’s third act.

I even bothered to vote for it onSteam Greenlight.

The fear here, of course, is how this all materializes into a game we will play and not a pretty movie we will watch. There’s a bit of obvious action sword fighting, but sweeping camera angles and desert shoots outs? The Greenlight page makes some exciting, vague claims. I’d even be okay with segments feeling piecemeal, which could work with the surreal. I just want badly tofeelmanipulating a character through this virtual space. And I am hopeful.
