Warzone BO6 season 5 patch notes

Season five forWarzoneis a bit light on new content, but the build-up toBlack Ops 7should make things interesting over the coming months, including the opening of the Stadium POI with a new contract.

New contract: Satellite Hijack

This new contract will only be available for the first week of the season, and due to its odd nature, it likely has a lot to do withBO7’sreveal.Warzoneevents and gameplay have been used to unveil newCoDstuff over the past few years, so this year is no different.

“Breach the stadium in possibly the most impressively explosive way possible as you and other enemy squads attempt race (sic) to complete themulti-step Satellite Hijack Contract,” Activision said. “Infiltrate the Stadium by any means necessary, confirming the nefarious operations and hidden compound within.”

The contract includes some kind of special reward, which will be “available to every member of your squad and usable during the rest of the match as well as permanently placed in your Gunsmith.”

New guns

ThePML 5.56LMG,ABR A1assault rifle,Boxing Glovesmelee weapon, andGravemark .357 Revolver(mid-season) will be entering loadouts all over Verdansk in season five.

New limited time modes

Two new LTMs grace season five, includingStadium ResurgenceandDeadline.

Stadium Resurgence is available in week two and includes 36 players dropping into the Stadium POI in short, 12-minute matches. Deadline is built for groups of four and includes both other players and bots in a unique new game type.

“Jump in with your squad and amass as many points as you can between each Circle Collapse,” Activision said of the mode. “Naturally, racking up eliminations—by dispatching both human and Bot Hostile Agents— is a key method of increasing your points total, but you’re also rewarded with points by completing Contracts, looting supplies, and spending cash at Buy Stations.”

Weapon nerfs and buffs

The meta should shift in the new season once weapons are tweaked to shake things up, including buffs for guns like the AK-74, AMES 85, AS VAL, C9, and Jackal PDW, with a nerf to the often-used LC 10.

New Ranked Play rewards

Ranked Play continues in season five, with new rewards to be earned by completing the following objectives:

Solos return, but only for NA and EU

Solo BR is coming back in season five, but with a catch. Core Solos will only be available worldwide for 48 hours, and after that, the mode will only be available in the NA and EU regions. Casual BR Solos will be available permanently.

“In North America and Europe, Core Solos was marginally more sustainable than other regions in both phases of testing; however, the mode still suffered from match quality concerns (connection, match times) due to players preferring other available playlists,” Activision explained. “In other regions, Core Solos was unable to deliver acceptable match quality. Casual Solos has proven itself to be the more approachable and globally sustainable mode. Keeping this mode live worldwide ensures that solo players everywhere have a healthy, high-quality match experience.”
