On their weekend show Saturday Morning Hangover, Conrad and Jordan brave the wilds of the Xbox Live Indie Games section, desperately looking for something good to play. Well this weekend they foundOne Finger Death Punch, a rhythm action game that’s inspired by those classic animations of stickmen fighting.

It was a pleasant surprise to find that there’s a PC version in the works as well that you can vote for on Steam Greenlight. There’s also a demo which you can try out; I’ve played it a bit and whilst the presentation is still a bit simplistic, the gameplay is really compelling and easy to pick up.

Instead of button mashing, you have to time your strikes to perfection to avoid missing an enemy. You can play each round at higher speeds until your fighter is a blur of punches and kicks and the backgrounds collapse. Play the demo and I’m sure you’ll be voting for it to come to Steam.
