Update:Aaand it’s back.Hollow Knight: Silksonghas returned to the US Nintendo eShop with a TBD release date.
I’m not a doomsayer, and I’m sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation, but it appears as though the listing forHollow Knight: Silksongon the US Nintendo eShophas been removed. Instead of displaying information about the upcoming game, there’s simply an image of Wario along with the message “Whoops! The info you’re looking for can’t be found!”

Thankfully, it’s only the US Nintendo eShop listing that has been removed.Hollow Knight: Silksongstill has a listing on theEU eShop, as well as other platforms likeXbox Live,Steam, and thePlayStation Store. For further assurance, theHollow Knight: SilkSongwebsitestill has the Nintendo Switch logolisted for platforms.
As I said, I’m sure there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for this. Maybe something to do with the Nintendo Switch 2, right? Maybe becoming a launch title? Maybe someone just accidentally moved the listing to the wrong castle. Or, maybe the scope ofSilksonghas grown too much to where it’s going to be rebranded asHollow Knight 2? All speculation at this point and the actual importance of it disappearing from the eShop could be nothing or everything. Only time will tell.

I’ve personally forced myself to moveHollow Knight: Silksongto the back of my brain, at least until we get something new. There are a ton of great games coming out this year, I can’t keep telling myself at every conference or event that surely this is when we’re going to get an update onSilksong. I just can’t keep doing it, it’s not healthy.
Anyway, at this point,Hollow Knight: Silksongas we know it is expected to release some day on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
