On October 22,Ubisoft trademarked“Rabbids Go Home” in relation to “game software and electronic game programs.”

While this isn’t necessarily indicative of a title that may eventually hit retail, it should be noted that Ubisoft has no problem “exploiting” the popularRabbidsfranchise. Since the first title’s release in November of 2006 for the Wii, we’ve seen one direct sequel, along with a spin-off,Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party. The Rabbids have made their way to multiple platforms, from the Xbox 360 to the Nintendo DS.

We’ve been holding out hope for a true platform sequel to theRaymanseries, and perhaps the “go home” is a hint at such a turn. Still, we wouldn’t be so surprised to find that the Rabbids went home to find more mini-games.
