Ubisoft’s getting into the free-to-play shooter space withGhost Recon Onlinefor PC, the publisher has announced today.

It’s exactly what you’d expect: a full-featured, online multiplayer, third-person, cover-based tactical shooter. Oh, and did you catch the part where it’s free-to-play? Ubisoft will offer optional “premium items” to “personalize” the game experience, however.

Applications to get in on this summer’s beta are open now on thegame’s official website; the title is slated to be fully launched by year’s end.
