Acid Wizard Studio’s top-down survival horror gameDarkwoodcaught my eye recently with someearly gameplay footage. The developers were up front about the possibility of a crowdfunding campaign, and that time has come. It’s a good thing, too — I’ve been playingDon’t Starvelately and I’m in the mood for this type of experience.

Though I highly recommend watching the pitch video, the gist of the situation is that Acid Wizard would like to stop doing contract work so it can finish upDarkwood. There’s just under a month to bring in $40,000 onIndiegogo for the project to move forward, with $10 contributions needed to score a copy of the game. Sounds within reason.

I like that we got to hear about the gamebeforeits creators asked for money. Similarly, I feel as if the stretch goals aren’t crucial; should only the base goal be met, I’d be okay with that.
