Fans of arcade classicToki, who may have been a little jealous ofthe Nintendo Switch remake last year, will be pleased to hear that the saliva-heavy ape is bringing his rejuvenated antics to PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in Q2 of 2019.
Tokiis the story of the titular young man who is transformed into a gorilla by the voodoo priest Bashtar. Toki must climb, jump, swim and spit his way through a series of stages, enemies and bosses in order to face Bashtar, rescue his girl Miho and, hopefully, restore his human form.
Developed by Microids, the tough 1989 platformer has been given a full visual overhaul, along with few useful modern-day improvements, such as a quick-save function, a new easier difficulty option and a selection of graphic filters.
