TheBorderlandsDLC gets aWonderlandsstandalone
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keepis one of, if not the most, well-remembered DLC additions in theBorderlandsseries. It was popular enough that Gearbox is currently working on a full game spiritual successor, and today,Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keepis also getting a standalone version.
2K and Gearbox announced today that a standalone calledTiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventureis coming to PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic. And it’s available today, too.

As part of the launch,Assault on Dragon Keepisfree on the Epic Games Storeuntil Nov. 16, so roughly the next week. Otherwise, it’s going for $9.99 on the other storefronts.
Even as someone with a hot-and-cold relationship with theBorderlandsfranchise,Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keepis a standout to me. It wasimpressive back in 2013, when it arrived as DLC forBorderlands 2. Not just for itsDungeons & Dragonsreferencing, mind you, but for how it tackled one of the big story developments inBorderlands 2, and how that affected its characters.Borderlands 2in particular hit a high note for me with how it tackled some tougher material, and I likedDragon Keepfor how it kept that through-line going.

That said, it’s also an entire DLC featuring Tiny Tina. For some folks, that’s a deal-breaker. But hey, if you wanted to give it a shot and see ifBorderlandsmeetsD&Dworks for you, this is probably the best opportunity to do it. Plus, it ends up now acting as a predecessor to the upcomingTiny Tina’s Wonderlands. If you want to know how it all ties together, and learn a littleBorderlandshistory in the process, seems like a good opportunity to do so.
