Splatfest, decorations, costumes and more
It’s time to cut eyeholes in mum’s best bed sheets and break out the eggs (But behave, kids) as this weekend sees Nintendo’s online shooterSplatoon 2celebrate Splatoween!.. a full week or so before it’sactuallyHalloween… hey, there’s no rules to FUN, right?
This weekend, a selection of spooky, ooky, kooky headgear will be available for download, each piece of which will apply a selection of buffs to your squid kid or Octoling (You can find the list of items and their effectsright here). Inkopolis Square and select battle arenas will also be receiving a makeover, plastered in ghostly graffiti and, erm, deadly decorations?
And the highlight ofSplatoween? A global splatfest that sees Pearl and Marina battle it out over the age-old doorstep question: Trick or Treat? This special event splatfest will run for 48-hours and begins today in all territories, at the following times: 15:00 PT for North America, 16:00 CET for Europe and 17:00 JST for Japan, before ending at the same times on October 21.
