Skull and Bonesseeks new horizons with a Steam launch
For those who have the game on Ubisoft Connect, thepublisher has confirmedthat any progress will transfer. Of course, cross-progress is a given, since most Ubisoft games require an Ubisoft Account to even run.
For those who decide to transfer over to Steam, all your story progress and unlocked content will come alongside. The issue will be that youâll have to purchase the game once again unless youâve been playing the game via Ubisoft Plus, the companyâs monthly subscription service.

Those deciding to jump ship should also be pleased to note that the game is indeedsupported by crossplay. If you still want to sail with friends on Ubisoft Connect or console platforms, the Steam version shouldnât ground your efforts.
Skull and Boneshas seen its fair share of choppy waters. The game was in development hell for many years, held back bydelay after delay. The end result was a a fairly decent piracy game, with our own Steven Mills saying itâs âgreat for rather mindless fun, but donât expect anything too intricate.â

I also enjoyed the game more than expected as I sailed its churning seas onships with weird names.Skull and Bonesmay not be the multiplayerBlack Flagof promise, but it has some charms.
