Announced at The Game Awards,God Of War Ragnarok: Valhallais a surprise DLC for one of PlayStation’s biggest hits of 2022. The new DLC is out now and comes as a free add-on for everyone who owns the game, but can you play it before finishing the main story? Don’t worry. There are no spoilers below.

God of War Ragnarok: Valhallais a separate mode from the main game, which means you can play it at any time. However, theValhallamode takes place after theRagnarokstory. Santa Monica Studio, the developers of the game,describeValhallaas being an epilogue to the main story. Therefore,it’s recommended that you finish theGod of War Ragnarokcampaign before playingValhalla.
If you aren’t concerned with story spoilers for the main game, then you may hop into the new mode at anytime. None of your equipment or upgrades carry over to the new mode, so you don’t need to worry about that.Valhallais a roguelike expansion toGod of War Ragnarokwith five difficulty modes and what looks to be an awful lot of replayability. There are also rewards to be earned fromValhallathat increase with the difficulty.
