I went to a rock concert the other night forShadows of the Damned#becausevideogames. Akira Yamaoka ofSilent Hillfame and Massimo Guarini, director onShadows of the Damned, performed for the small crowd of videogame press people and it was pretty awesome. Please enjoy the crappy iPhone video of it above!  Before the concert, Suda51 went on stage and announced thatShadows of the Damnedis now coming out on June 21.

Thanks. God.

The game was originally supposed to come out on June 7, the same day as E3 2011 kicks off. I believe thatShadows of the Damnedis riding largely on word of mouth and releasing on the biggest news day of the year would have been suicide.

Be sure to check outmy recent hands-onwithShadows of the Damnedand myinterview with Suda51for more on this “road movie from hell.”
