The mutator update is here
“Get back intoRocket League” just jumped to the top of my gaming to-do list.
With the latest update on PC and PlayStation 4, mutators are in! There are a bunch of specifics to dig through — and I’ve included the full patch notes below — but in general, you may expect customization options for things like game speed, gravity, and ball type, weight, size, and bounciness.
If you would prefer to dive into a match rather than mess with settings, there’s now a Mutator Mashup playlist. It’s three vs. three and randomly cycles through these presets:
Beach Ball is the one I’m most interested in, but Time Warp should be funny, too. I imagine botched maneuvers are even more embarrassing when they happen in slow motion.
The update also adds community flags and game-themed antennas like thatVault Boy accessory.
A recent developer stream shows some mutators, including the cube and hockey puck variants.
