Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroeswon’t have a platinum trophy. Hopefully that doesn’t bother you lot that planned to infinitely replay theshort, replayable game. Kojima explained onTwitter:
The reason GZ doesn’t have Platinum Trophy in PS4 is due to SONY’s regulation. They won’t allow us to have them for non-full price game.
Though I’ve long outgrown achievements and trophies, this did actually discourage me from buyingResident Evil 4 HDon the PS3, as I thinly rationalized the platinum as an excuse to replay a game I’ve played over and over already. It also bothered me a bit after sinking infinite hours inLumines: Electronic Symphonyand not getting my virtual gold (platinum) star for doing all the things.
But hey,Metal Gear Solid 4didn’t even have trophies for the longest time. It certainly didn’t stop people from getting that Big Boss emblem. This doesn’t affect your console choice, does it?
