The stigma of bad videogame tie-ins with movie franchises is very hard to overcome. Often rushed to coincide with the corresponding film’s release, movie based games almost always suck. So you’ll have to forgive me for initially ignoring everythingrelated to Digital Extremes’Star Trek, set to take place between the fantastic 2009 film and upcoming sequel. Namco Bandai showed off the latest at a recent press event and I honestly have to say I was a little blown away....

If you’re seeing this, Namco, we want it Digimon World: Next Ordersaw a Japanese PlayStation Vita release back in March, but from the sound of it, Bandai Namco isn’t done with the monster-raising RPG quite yet. A listing for a PlayStation 4 version has shown up on theBrazilian rating board, suggesting we may, with any luck, get the game here in the West. Developer isn’t leaving PSN behind It’s still unclear what exactlyPixelJunk 1-6is, but it sure looks pretty. The game was announced for PC, which didn’t sit well with some fans of Q-Games’ prior work. “Given our history with Sony I think people are being rather hasty in thinking ‘Q is jumping ship’ or other such nonsense,” president Dylan Cuthbert said to Eurogamer. “Steam gives us the freedom to open up our development process and be completely transparent approaching release,” explained lead designer Rowan Parker....
