The God of War director’s GDC talk detailed his personal battles with doubt while making the game. Cory Barlog, the director and recognizable face behindGod of War, has won almost every Game of the Year award known to man. The celebrated title has dominated every award show it’s been a part of, from last year’s Game Awards to last week’s GDC Awards. When I saw he was giving a presentation I knew I had to go; not just because I have loved the series for so long and fell so hard for the latest installment, but because the talk was going to focus on dealing with self-doubt....
One of my favorite facets ofSSX Trickywas its fusion of audio and gameplay. The game would mute its thumping house/hip-hop soundtrack as you soared off a ramp, leaving only the sound of the air whistling past your rider until the music kicked back in when you landed. It really heightened the awesomeness of nailing some aerial acrobatics.Trickydid that with its own soundtrack, and EA is now working on a proprietary tool called “Harmony” — set to debut in itsSSXreboot, now due out onFebruary 14— that will do the same thing to any music you can feed it....

There were a lot of cool looking indies! So there were a lot of game reveals at the PC Gaming Show. Most of them were indie, but so what? We got reveal after reveal here without the constant interruptions from skits, goofy Drake’s Cakes interlude commercials, and the hosts really hit their stride after a few years of working out the kinks. Rather than the previous droning commercials with CEOs we only got one interlude from a monitor exec, and it was fairly painless and was centered around games....

Today, the developers had something fresh to share about the sequel’s expanded accessibility features — including better controller remapping and “more customization to our combat and interaction system.” According to lead UX designer Mila Pavlin,God of WarRagnarokwill bring back accessibility features that players saw in thePC version ofGod of War(2018): auto sprint, an always-on reticle, and a “hold” or “toggle on/off” option for the aim stance and shield stance....
It’s actually worth playing now In late 2021,Halo Infinitefeatured its first event(Fractured Tenrai) and it was kind of a big old mess.The rewards were underwhelming(and had a chunk of soulless things like XP boosts and challenge swaps),the challenge system was atrocious, and items from the event were sold on the paid item shop. Pretty much everything that could make the event worse was implemented. Yet,true to their word, 343 brought the Fractured Tenrai event back for “week 2” (June 10, 2025 – July 21, 2025) with some enhancements....

We gave both maps a spin, and we also checked out each playable class for the videos. The biggest thing you need to know is that all the weapons you can carry in the main game can be brought into multiplayer. Even bigger, you can switch your guns at any time from your inventory while in the middle of the match....
