Impacts over 10,000 stores Sprint will pay Niantic upfront for the partnership, and although the terms weren’t disclosed, it is an exclusive deal. It will apply to roughly 10,500 stores, including Boost and RadioShack (ha) locations. Players will be able to “charge their devices for free” at these locations. So uh, it’s not all that exciting, unless you happen to have a lot of Sprint stores in your rural town and no other stops, but the pair did hint at what’s to come for the game....

Check out everything Destructoid did today I made a videogame themedJumble, and while I’m pretty proud of the puzzle part of it, the graphic design leaves a lot to be desired. I tried to see if anybody on staff wanted to help me with it, but everybody is too busy gearing up for E3. As a result of its ugliness, I have it past the break. Each of the scrambled words is videogame related in some way, and the letters with the orange outline can be arranged to form an answer to the question....

Bylogging in hereplayers can view a complete record of their journey through the game, as well as character profiles and leader boards covering both PvE and PVP. It’s neat as it lets you size your character up against others by ‘following them (profiles updated every 24 hours). ‘Achieved with CryEngine’ Ooh boy. This trailer for Crytek’s “action-packed online multiplayer game”Arena of Fatesure is something. First impressions are important and that grating narration doesn’t leave a good one. Looking on the bright side, I will say I dig the premise of famous historical and fictitious characters fighting each other. But unfortunately forArena of Fate, it’s going to take much more than that to have a real impact in the crowded MOBA scene....

Subscription service takes a bite out of game sales Xbox has confirmed that the launch of its hugely successful Xbox Game Pass subscription service has had a notable negative impact on the long-term sales prospects of many of the titles added to its rotating catalog of games. The admission comes as part of a report by The UK Competition and Markets Authority, (as seen by GamesIndustry.biz) which was commissioned as part of Microsoft’s proposed purchase of publisher Activision Blizzard....

As reported by Digital Foundry This isn’t 100% confirmed by Microsoft yet, but the reliable folks over at Digital Foundry have reportedly obtained “a fat pile of GPU benchmarks,” which, in non-nerd speak, essentially translates to how well games will run on Xbox One X. Based on code names and genres we can discern the targeted resolution, FPS, and DX versions of various games, likeForzaandGears of War.
