iOS 16 is adding Switch Joy-Con and Pro Controller support

They’ll show up as named devices The news broke by way of Riley Testut, an iOS developer, who noted that the Switch Pro Controller and single J0y-Con will work natively in iOS: showing up in the Bluetooth section as the properly named devices. Interestingly, pairing both the left (L) and right (R) Joy-Con will also allow the devices to work in tandem as a single device. As Testut points out, you can use a simple command (hold screenshot + home) to swap between single Joy-Con and multi-Joy-Con modes at will....

Japan’s Nintendo Direct had some really cool reveals today

Looking into other Directs Nintendo Directs are always chock-full of information on games coming to different regions. And while theNorth American Nintendo Directhad a bunch of games to show off, today’s Nintendo Direct for Japan also had some surprising, intriguing games on display. I try to make a habit of watching the Japanese Nintendo Direct after the North American one airs. For one, it’s an interesting way to see how Nintendo organizes these shows for different regions; some games move further up in the rundown, or feel like they get a little more time....

Keep up on Starbound’s development with the Roadmap

Look forward to losing hundreds of hours later this year Our coverage of Chucklefish’s upcoming space-faring open-world gameStarboundhas been criminally weak. Aside from some brief mentions here and there when talking aboutTerrariaandEdge of Space, we’ve been dark on the game over that past year of its development. I’m part of the problem, because I heard “Terrariain space” and immediately filed it under “buy it as soon as it’s available” in my brain, and haven’t been keeping up with its progress....

My Nintendo just dumped 3DS/Wii U discounts, so hopefully Switch perks are on the way

It’s time for My Nintendo to enter the new generation Nintendo is showing signs of life for My Nintendo with its recent physical reward launch, but it still has a ways to go. For ages, My Nintendo serves as a zombie of a program: a husk of the former glory of Club Nintendo. It was bloated with mostly useless 3DS/Wii U discount code offers, and beyond the redemption of several cool apps and 3DS themes, it kind of served no purpose....
