Aside from lots of alluring and surely bank-breaking new skins (check the gallery!), the update will bring a mode not unlike what we saw in theHalloween Terror event. Seemingly, it’s Reinhardt, Mercy, Torbjörn, and Tracer fighting back against waves of Omnics. After reading therecentUprisingcomic, this is pretty much what I had envisioned for the event — both in terms of fending off a robotic horde on King’s Row and these exact character skins — so I’m pleased....

Many gamers have already assumed that the next generation of videogames will officially kick off next year, and a number ofrumors suggestthat we’ll be seeing the third iteration of the Xbox soon (I won’t say “Xbox 720” becauseugh). Sega hasconfirmedthat videogame versions of the upcomingThe Incredible Hulkfilm are currently in development. DeveloperEdge of Reality(Shark Tale, the Nintendo 64Tony Hawk’s Pro Skaterports) is handling the console development, with Amaze Entertainment focusing on the handheld versions. The film, which is slated to hit theaters next year, stars Edward Norton as the troubled Bruce Banner and Liv Tyler as the pretty and scared Betty Ross. The film is being directed by Louis Leterrier, who was also responsible for bothTransporterfilms, so expect plenty of fast editing and big explosions....

This year’s title will differ from the last few years, as Sports Interactive is shifting to a new Unity engine. Naturally, certain changes have been made to the usual launch schedule from previous years when we could play in the early months of November. This time, you’ll need to wait longer to showcase if you’re better than Pep Guardiola and Erik Ten Hag in the virtual world....

Amazing golf tech demo from Wii U E3 2011 reveal becomes reality One of the most striking moments of the Wii U reveal at E3 2011 was a golf demo of all things. The Wii U GamePad was placed on the floor with a golf ball displayed on the controller’s screen. The camera panned out to show a player swinging Wii remote over the virtual ball. Then magic happened. I vividly recall sitting in the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles watching the golf ball sail from Wii U GamePad onto the television screen....
