Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko haunts Japan this September Koei Tecmo unveiled the next entry in theFatal Frameseries,Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko, today during aNicoNico Liveevent. The Wii U horror title, whichSiliconeratranslates asFatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden, will be summoned to Japan starting July 05, 2025. Zero: Nuregarasu no Mikois set against the backdrop of a cursed lakeside manor in the mountains, where themes of water and hydrophobia will feature prominently....

Project Ukulele coming to Kickstarter this May Today at EGX Rezzed, Playtonic showcased the first in-engine screenshots ofProject Ukulele. Speaking at the event, the seven-man team of former Rare veterans said they were blown away by the fan response to their recently announced spiritual successor toBanjo Kazooie. They hope to get the community more involved by bringing the title to Kickstarter sometime this May. It sounds like Project Ukulele will happen regardless of how Playtonic’s crowdfunding efforts pan out, but the team has put a lot of thought into what might happen if it becomes a huge success....

There’s always room for more hack n’ slashers in the world, especially if they’re free.Death Knight(courtesy ofFAAD)fits the bill nicely enough. It’s not quite as good asKnights Rush, but itisfree for the day, which certainly makes it worth checking out. The game is an incredibly simple button masher in the beat ’em up tradition, with some similarities to The Behemoth’sCastle Crashers. It’s not the most refined game of its type, but it’s got tons of levels and plenty of content, so if you’re a fan of the genre, definitely give it a go....

The fans have spoken, and Epic has listened. The previously announced “Dark Corners” add-on forGears of War 2is going to be cheaper than we thought. Originally, the downloadable content was priced at $20, butIGN has since reportedthat isn’t the case any more. Instead, “Dark Corners” will be only $15 at launch on July 28, because people like you and me complained. Considering the amount of content the DLC brings — one new campaign chapter and seven new multiplayer maps — I’d say it’s justifiable for the averageGearsfan....

Blackbeard seems like an unpleasant guy We’ve had a fair bit of introduction to Edward Kenway, the protagonist ofAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but there’s a lot of pirating to get done, and he won’t be able to do it all alone. Ubisoft’s newest trailer familiarizes us with a few of the less-than-friendly faces that we can expect to see alongside and maybe opposite of Kenway. From Kenway’s crew to his pirating mentors, a whole zany lot are on display....

A deep dive on what’s new, and what’s the same Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ multiplayer has finally been revealed, and it’s the biggest overhaul Infinity Ward has done since the firstModern Warfare. What I got to play at the reveal event was pretty fun, but then again that’s not shocking as I’ve always enjoyed playing the series’ multiplayer. And I think that’s how things boil down here.
