From Software has announcedProject Dark, a brand new game from the same team that brought us Demon’s Souls. The game was shown off during the Sony press conference, but had been blacked off on Internet streams, meaning only those press who were allowed into the show got to see it. All we outsiders know so far is that it’s a “dark fantasy” title, which makes it sound like a spiritual follow-up toDemon’s Souls....

There’s a worthwhile secret bundled with Va-11 Hall-a KIDS

Not just an April Fools prank gone wild [gone sexual]! I can’t praise the originalVA-11 HALL-Aenough. Charming retro visuals, bopping tunes and lovable characters combined to create a terrific bar-tending experience. Despite the generally terrible circumstances of the cast, it ended up being one of the most chill and laid-back games I’d played in a long time. VA-11 Hall-A KIDS, an April Fools joke by the same studio, is obviously not aiming to reach the same caliber as the original game....

Tretton speaks: PSP HDD and UMDs

As Imentioned earlier, the PS3 is taking the digital distribution path seriously. Jack Tretton thinks so. Speakingwith Kotaku, he says that the UMD has struggled, and that the fate of the medium is dependent on how well digital distribution thrives. It seemed just about everyone had written off the UMD as a dead format — I don’t see why they’re even trying to play the farce of the medium possibly surviving outside of PSP games....
