Get a lay of the land ThePUBGteam has a new batch of screenshots for the game’s upcoming desert map and I’m already brainstorming landing zones and hiding spots. Play enough of a game like this, and you can easily envision how matches might shake out. It’s a fun little mental exercise while we wait. For example, see that fenced-in area in the third image? I’m staying thehellaway from there. The SNES classic As a reminder,Super Star Warswill hit the PSN this week (PS4 and Vita with Cross-Buy). It was part of a classic trilogy for the SNES, and was basically a re-telling ofA New Hope, through the veil of an action platformer — it was an awesome game. I hope that the release of the first game is testing the waters, because hot damnEmpireandJedihad some amazing 2D boss fights....

Has Kouji Kabuto found a new waifu? TheSuper Robot Warsseries may focus on having giant robots from various anime titles, but there are a few occasions where it tries something different. One recent example isSuper Robot Wars X-Ω, the franchise’s mobile game, since we got to see Godzilla andZyuranger’sDaizyuzin/Power Ranger’sMegazord join forces. While we’re on the topic of random surprises, the main cast fromRobot Girls Z, the anime about cute girls based on Toei’s classic mecha shows, are spreading their cuteness inX-Ω....

Stack em up Sega and M2 have gotten to talking more about the new features coming to the Sega Ages re-release ofColumns II. As with the other wonderful ports to Switch, this version of the game is shaping up to be the definitive release of the game. Not only are new modes getting added to the mix, but the entire originalColumnswill be included as a bonus. The new features include different difficulty options, an online versus mode, and a special option to rotate player two’s screen 180 degrees for tabletop mode....

Just in case any of you were left wondering,Call of Duty: Black Ops IIis a thing that is happening. Although scheduled to be announced tonight, the beans have been spilled earlyon the official site, seemingly unintentionally. The link to the game’s announcement trailer does not currently work, but the art and logo are more than damning enough. It also has a release date, with a listing for November 13. Images indicate a near-future setting, with sci-fi masks and weird airship things....

Chucklefish will still rep Stardew on Switch and mobile Stardew Valleyis a charming game made even more delightful with the knowledge that it was created by one passionate developer.
