Putting in the hours at the demon factory Diablo IVis set to tackle a seasonal model, which includes a battle pass system. And in a new interview over atPC Gamer, associate game director Joe Piepiora talks a bit about how much time it will take to see the pass through. In the season, you’ll be able to start a new seasonal character to take from level 1 to 100. Doing activities and ticking off objectives on the “seasonal journey” will earn progress in the battle pass....

Star Wars Episode 7 targeting 2015 As announced today in a press release, The Walt Disney Company has agreed to acquire Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion (approximately half paid in cash, and 40 million shares issued). Perhaps more relevant to our interests as gamers, this move will indeedinclude LucasArts— in addition to Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound. One of the biggest patches to theStarCraft IIbeta just went live yesterday, containing the map editor, a couple new maps, and some balance changes. While the patch notes say we can expect another major content patch in the future that will enable you to share your maps, there will still be balance patches released as necessary. We can expect smaller patches to address balance issues to roll out as issues are identified....

New modes and even an egg hunt! A batch of new DLC content has rolled out for Techland’s roof-hopping zombie shooter Dying Light. Content Drop #4 has been made live on all formats, bringing a selection of fun additions to the 2015 release. First up is new mode Prison Heist, where players, alone or with buddies, must bust into a new location, the originally titled “Prison Island” and tool themselves up with goodies from the penitentiary’s over-stocked armory....

Test session open this weekend for EVE Vegas attendees The rumors are true — CCP is bringing theEVE Online universe into the mobile arena withProject Aurora. Announced at EVE Vegas today,Aurorais described as a free-to-play game set in theEVEuniverse. It’s jointly developed byEVEcreator CCP and the mobile studio PlayRaven, and will follow the whole MMO archetype once again. While it’s not actually out (and CCP was quick to explain that “there is no current release date”) EVE Vegas attendees will be able to actively test Project Aurora on both iOS and Android platforms this weekend in “pre-alpha” form....
