Just like Ohio It’s time for Sony to throw anotherPlayStation Flash Sale, an event that challenges the very notion of the word “flash.” This sale lines up with Valentine’s Day, a holiday for romanticism, conversation hearts, and cheap video games (apparently). That awesome one with the great color scheme that totally befits a PS4 menu....

Fahrenheit rising A few months back,reports startedcoming out that developer Quantic Dream, known for titlesHeavy RainandFahrenheit, had allegedly been running a fairly toxic workplace. There were claims from former employees of sexist and racist jokes being thrown around the studio as well as a pretty disgusting report about employees’ heads being photoshopped onto naked bodies. It made the studio seem like a real hellscape and founder David Cage’s response didn’t really help matters....

Billed as ‘F-Zero meets Audiosurf’ “F-ZeromeetsAudiosurf” brings some vivid imagery to mind, but after watching the above trailer, I’m not sure I agree with that tagline for the indie racerSpectra. Sure, it’s set to some bumpin’Chipzeltracks, but it looks like levels are designed rather than procedurally generated, and there does not appear to be any music importing. The aesthetic is also more reminiscent of something likeTempestthanF-Zero. Still,Spectralooks pretty cool. It is currently available for Windows and Windows Phone, and there releases planned for more popular smartphone operating systems, as well as Xbox One....

Swords & Soldierscame out for WiiWare last week and I had no idea it even existed (IshouldprobablyreadDestructoidmore often). Frankly, the idea of a 2D side-scrolling RTS was something that I had not even considered the possibility of. On reflection, I’m sure there are games which have attempted the formula before, but I don’t believe that I have ever played one. All that changed for me this past week and I think I’m a better man for it....
