Far away in time
Following on fromseveral teases posted earlier this week, Blizzard has officially revealed Echo as the 32nd hero headed to its online multiplayer shooterOverwatch.
From the dramatic origin video, which you may check below, we can ascertain that brilliant scientist Dr. Mina Liao created Echo as a force for good, a highly intelligent, learning android, implemented in a time where robots and omnics are a considered a source of distrust for the public.
But it appears that some sort of terrible accident or attack took place in Dr. Liao’s lab, which may have cost the good scientist her life. But Liao’s spirit and ideals will live on through Echo, her Echo, who joins theOverwatchteam to right the wrongs of the world, bring hope to the hopeless, and create a better future for everyone.
