Looking at these new screenshots has me excited to playNo More Heroesagain on the PS3, although I don’t see this HD remake as a replacement of the SD original. IfNo More HeroesWii isSupergirl via Dave Cooper, thenNo More HeroesPS3 isSupergirl via Adam Hughes. Both have a place in my heart. OK, that’s not quite right, but the general idea is there; this new version ofNo More Heroesfeels like a new artist taking on an established character. That sort of thing happens with comics all the time, but with videogames, it’s a pretty rare phenomenon, and something to be celebrated.

It’s a less rare phenomenon for established female videogame characters to get new skimpy outfits. That’s one of the other features of this PS3 port: the game will have a mode where the already provocatively dressed ladies wear even less clothes, so if you like that sort of thing, you’re in luck. More exciting for me is the rumor thatNo More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise(the formal name for this HD port) will feature additional boss fights, borrowed fromNo More Heroes 2. That’s a lot to be excited about, for die-hard fans of the original andNo More Heroesvirgins alike.
