Hello Games has both announced and dropped a new update forNo Man’s Sky: update 4.2,Interceptor. Or maybe. The patch notes are live, but it’s not on Steam yet.
This is the jillionth update on the path of redemption forNo Man’s Sky, which famously launched in a horrible state. TheInterceptorupdate brings with it a continuation to the game’s story while introducing corrupted planets. Hello Games also outlines a great deal of quality-of-life tweaks in its emoji-filled Tweet. I feel like it’s tiresome to keep bringing up thatNo Man’s Skykind ofsucked at launch. It’s so high profile, and 2016 was about a million years ago. It’s been a decent game for a lot longer than it was a disappointing one. However, I do wish more games got this treatment. What if they fixedSpore? What ifSporeeventually became the game it was promised to be? That would have been pretty cool.
There’s also a new trailer for theInterceptorupdate, and I am so lapsed on this game that I have absolutely no context for what’s going on. But, with that said, I think I might reinstall it and see if I get sucked in this time.
