While this news will be seen as very expected by some, it doesn’t take away from the fact that Sony’s apparent hot year of exclusive titles has been a little disappointing compared to what we expected at the top of 2009. As last year drew to a close, we were looking atKillzone 2,inFAMOUS,Heavy Rain,MAGandGod of War III. NowHeavy RainandGoW IIIare confirmed for 2010, and it’ll be surprising ifMAGdoesn’t join them.
This is the big problem with the PS3. Its hottest exclusives areexcellentgames, but they are few and far between. The PS3 user experience seems to consist of a lot of waiting around while listening to promises, and it’s really quite frustrating. Still, it’s doing a little bit better than the Xbox 360 right now, so that’s something.
