I4U linksus to aGerman news articlethat reports that Nintendo is asking shops for the names of the mod chip manufacturers they recieve their stock from. They are also asking these stores to destroy their stock of modded Wii consoles as well as the chips themselves.
My quick check ofa fewGerman mod chip distributorsshows that some are not too concerned about selling these products online, thoughCheap-chip.comandxtrem-tunerseem to have removed Wii mods from their listings. I did notice that all continue to sell Nintendo DS related devices, though.
