It’s no secret thatNintendo is on the huntfor outlets that sell devices and modifications thatcircumvent the copy protection schemes in their consoles, and nowNintendo is asking German shops that sell Wii mod chips to stop.

My quick check ofa fewGerman mod chip distributorsshows that some are not too concerned about selling these products online, thoughCheap-chip.comandxtrem-tunerseem to have removed Wii mods from their listings. I did notice that all continue to sell Nintendo DS related devices, though.
