Celebrating Pokemon’s 20th anniversary
Two years after its western release, the Nintendo 2DS is finally coming to Japan.
The handheld will be available in four semi-transparent colors (red, green, blue, and yellow), all of which come matched with one of the originalPokémongames pre-installed the system.
In commemoration of the franchise’s 20th anniversary, the bundle will come with a version-specific menu theme, stickers, a download code for Mew, and poster with a map of the Kanto region.
The bundle will be available in Japan starting February 27, the very same day the originalPokémongames will be re-released worldwide via the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
There’s no word at this time if a similar package is being planned for an international release.
