A new trailer has been debuted on the officialsocial media accountsfor the upcomingMazinger Zanime film. While the new trailer is light on new plot details, or robot action, it did show off the rest of the extended cast for the film. While most were expected, there are a couple of surprises here and there. The trailer also reveals the movie will be debuting next year on January 13.

There are a couple of standout names in the list. Natsuki Hanae for instance is the voice for Alm fromFire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentiaand for Taichi in the recentDigimon Adventure Trimovies, while Wataru Takagi was the old voice for Zangief and the current voice for Hugo fromStreet Fighter.Out of the entire cast however, you’ve probably heard Unshō Ishizuka before, as he is the voice actor for Heihachi Mishima fromTekken.
I’m digging the voice work and new designs that have gone into the characters. Although I can’t say I remember Lisa from a previousMazinger Ziteration? I guess she must be a new character, but I hope her being built up as a major player doesn’t take the spotlight from Koji and Sayaka. However, I really appreciate that Boss has had his design mostly left alone, as he wouldn’t be the same without it.
