Let’s rock and roll

Do you love story-centric games? How about music? Flirting via text? Then it sounds like you’re in for a treat withWe Are OFK. The game follows indie pop band OFK as they try to navigate love, friends, and the music industry in Los Angeles, California.

Choice-based dialogue, texting, and music-making are the main ingredients of the gameplay loop, in addition to an interactive music video showcasing one of the band’s new songs. As someone who really loved the interactive song featured inKentucky Route Zero, I’m excited to check out their take on the idea. There will be five episodes of the game in total, with a new song from OFK’s new EP corresponding to each one.

We Are OFK

Story-centric games are my absolute favorite, and I personally have never heard of a biopic game before. It’s a genius idea, so I’ll be interested to see how it comes to life, especially with the group’s own music integrated throughout. The game will also be fully voiced, and brought to life by an all-star cast of actors, including Ally Maki, Syhaya Aviel, Fiona Rene, and Teddy Dief, who also serves as the game’s creative director.

We Are OFKwill bearrivingon PS4, PS5, and PC in 2022.
