It’s actually happening!
During the Bandai Namco panel at Anime Expo LA, the company announced thatMobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2will be arriving in America later this year.
If the name sounds familiar, that’s because we’ve covered itbefore. The game’s still been trucking along since then and now sports arosterof 110 different mobile suits. The roster includes mechs from the original show,War in the Pocket,08th MS Team,Thunderbolt,IGLOO, along with numerous games and additional material. It is hands down one of the most comprehensive lineups to exist outside of anSD Gundamgame.
Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2will remain a PlayStation 4 exclusive when it arrives later this year. I had an enjoyable time with it and found the gameplay to have a more grounded approach. You should definitely give this a shot when this arrives, regardless of how you feel about the franchise.
This announcement, along withGundam Battle: Gunpla Warfare‘s international release, makes me hopeful that the upcomingSD Gundamgame will potentially be following shortly after.
