I can’t hear the word “Mobius” without thinking aboutSonicSatAM andAdventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. Buried underneath those are memories from elementary school when we were introduced to theMobius strip, a seemingly magical object that has a single continuous surface. This is achieved by taking a length of paper, twisting one end 180 degrees, then taping the two ends together. When you draw a line down the middle of the strip, you will end at the same point you began, having traveled both “sides” of the paper without ever lifting your pencil.

Modeler Joaquin Baldwin has brought math magic back with his 3D printed Mobius strip of level 1-1 fromSuper Mario Bros.Every Goomba and background detail has been rendered on the sandstone sculpt, which takes Mario through the stage, past the castle, then back to the starting point in an endless loop. Sorta like the Minus World!
