Which is a pretty bustling month for games
After a delay, we knew that that theLife is Strange: Remastered Collectionwas coming in early 2022, and now Square Enix has settled on February 1 as the new release date. That goes for all versions: PC (Steam), PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and oh yeah, Stadia.
Is it worth playing throughLife is Strange: Remastered Collectionbefore getting intoLife is Strange: True Colorsfor added context? That’s going to vary from person to person, but at this point — now that we’re talking February — you may not want to wait up, especially with the way the gameturned out. I know I’m going to want to playTrue Colorsbefore the end of the year, and GotY discussions aren’t as far off as I’d like. I may never circle back to theseLife is StrangeandBefore the Stormremasters, though. The timing is tricky.

The late-January to mid-February window is a busy time of year for big new games many of us are stoked about, includingElden Ring(January 21),Pokémon Legends: Arceus(January 28), andHorizon Forbidden West(February 18), just to name three. With delays all over the place, it feels like the calendar is constantly shifting. 2021 is very much spilling into 2022.
So yeah. That’s where I’m at right now. If you went all-in on theUltimate EditionofTrue Colors(which includes a copy ofLife is Strange: Remastered Collection), or you’re otherwise excited to play these games again with new mocap performances, lighting updates, and character and environmental touch-ups, February 1 is the date to jot down.
