They killing him tho?

Expanding further on Naughty Dog’slack of plans for theUnchartedseriesafter this year’sUncharted 4: A Thief’s End, co-director Neil Druckmann toldThe Sunabout the plot ofA Thief’s End, “But with the end of this story, it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake.”

I mean, itiscalledA Thief’s End.

“We’ve been with this character for so long,” Druckmann said. “He’s at the height of his popularity, so it’s not a good business decision. But I feel like the best way to honor him is to go out on top, to finish his story.” Druckmann notes that Sony ownsUncharted, so the series could continue, but it might have to retreat into prequel territory or continue with new leads, not unlike BioWare is doing withMass Effect, or whatGears of Warseems to be doing withGears of 4.

That sounds like prime dancing around a dead Drake. Or at least a finally, seriously reformed one. Or, hey, middle ground — maybe he gets maimed or something, sidelining him forever. Nathan Drake’s story ends April 26, then.
