And also its spinoff, The Hollywood Roast

If you know me or my work here at Dtoid, you know that I like the strange and arcane. And the silly and dumb. And I really only attempt to write about those things because those are the only things worth writing about. Which is why I’m writing aboutOh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator, set to release January 18 on the eShop on Nintendo Switch.

Just what isOh…Sir!! The Insult Simulator? Well it’s a game where you find yourself in certain scenarios verbally jousting with a foul-mouthed foe, slinging insults and hurling ill will until one duelist is utterly smote by the barrage of wit. It looks funny, and I like that.

Using a combo system of predetermined insult choices, you’re tasked with building up a string of words so inflammatory that your foe’s incredibly promiscuous (and not to mention ugly) mother would roll in her grave, and probably work up a sweat in the process. Because she does so much sex, you see. Add in five unique and fully voiced characters, and split-screen AND online multiplayer, and you’ve got a GOTY contender. Not to mention it’s only $1.99.

Foppish dandies pontificating on the origins of one another’s foul breath not your thing? Well, good news, fellow Yanks, for on the same day, the 18th of January in the Year of Our Lord, you’re able to also download the original game’s spinoff,Oh…Sir!! The Hollywood Roast. Along with an extended single-player campaign, this follow-up features a cast based on blockbuster Hollywood film characters, such as a weird Dirty Harry Potter knockoff and Deadpool But Also A Few Other Superheroes As Well. It’s less British-sounding, either way, so at least it speaks American. It goes for $2.99 in Bald Eagle Bucks.

The ghost at the end of the hallway

You can create insult combos and talk about one another’s mothers. What’s not to like about this?

Both games are currently available on Steam, Apple’s App Store, and Google Play. Both games look hilarious. Both will be on the eShop on January 18.
