There’s a barrier to entry

There’s a brand new sale on some indie games happening on Steam right now, but you might not be entitled to any savings. The reason for this is because the promotion, Indie Piñata, designates already owning one of the discounted games as the membership card.

There are ten games featured in Indie Piñata:The Bridge,Super Splatters,Contraption Maker,Flockers,Monaco,Jack Lumber,10,000,000,Triple Town,MouseCraft, andDungeon Hearts. Having just one of these purchased means that the remaining nine are discounted for the next eight days or so.

The Indie Piñata is being run by Crunching Koalas, the creators of MouseCraft. The goal of the promotion is to highlight titles that are similar to one another, yet players may not have heard of. With the crowded marketplace that Steam’s curated, this is a way for a group of developers to band together to help get the word about about their games.
