Puttering around

Nintendo has released the Golf mode forWii Sports Clubto the Nintendo eShop, letting players hit the motion-controlled links. As with priorWii Sports Clubgames, you can purchase Golf outright for $9.99 or purchase a day pass granting access for twenty-four hours (which also allows for playing priorSports Clubreleases, Bowling and Tennis in that time).

I love the a la carte pricing model for this. Golf and Bowling were the only two games I really enjoyed from all of theWii Sportsline, but I wouldn’t have ever bought an entire game simply to play those modes. I am much more likely to consider picking up one or two of the games piecemeal.

What I will not be doing is setting my GamePad on the floor to hit golf balls. What an impractical, pointless exercise that is.
