Art contests can really suck sometimes. They take energyandskill, and who has much of either these days? Easier to enter a contest that only requires you to post a picture of anugly person, or maybe just a bad joke. That’s not too much work, right?

How about an art contest that combines that level of ease with an opportunity to make something that actually ends up in a videogame? Would you like something like that? Well, the Gaijin Games dudes abide. They just launched a contest on their site calling for submissions of 4-bit artwork for use in a stage in their mysterious new game,Bit.Trip RUNNER.
