SincePokemon BlackandWhitewere first announced, fans have assumed that the games would eventually see a third “director’s cut” edition, just as every “main series” Pokemon game has before them.Pokemon RedandBluehadPokemon Yellow,Pokemon DiamondandPearlhadPokemon Platinum, and so forth. Fans even went as far to dub this non-existent new gamePokemon Gray, which makes sense given the names ofPokemon BlackandWhite, and[SPOILERS]you may catch a gray legendary inPokemon BlackandWhite, who would make a great mascot forPokemon Gray.[/SPOILERS]

It looks like fans waiting forPokemon Graymay be out of luck. According to one translation, Pokemon developer Gamefreak has stated that “WithBlackandWhite, we have concluded this iteration.”
That’s what they say now. It wouldn’t make much sense for Gamefreak to announce a superior version ofPokemon Black/Whiteright before the games are released outside of Japan, would it? I wouldn’t be surprised if at E3 this year, Gamefreak and Nintendo announce their decision to “un-conclude their conclusion”, and announcePokemon Grayfor this holiday season. It wouldn’t be the first time a developer has “changed their minds” on a decision like this when the time was right.

There will be no Pokemon Gray[Nintendo3DSBlog, viaGoNintendo]
