A new independent studio, and a new IP
Casey Hudson, previously general manager at BioWare, has announced a new studio today. Humanoid Studios is a new independent company, and it will be working on an all-new IP.
Hudson shared theannouncement on Twitter, saying he’s been “working with some colleagues on something awesome.” The company has anumber of job openings on its site, including Sr. Creative Director, Gameplay Designer, and Level Designer positions.

It’ll be interesting to see what this team ends up creating, as it isn’t the only ex-BioWare staff working on new ventures.Archetype Entertainmentwas also formed around former BioWare devs, and is currently working on its own project.
Hudson left BioWare last yearalongside long-timeDragon Agelead Mark Darrah, with his departure leaving the door open for the “next generation of studio leaders.” With both a newDragon AgeandMass Effectin the pipeline, BioWare certainly still has some big projects ahead of it as well.
