If you’ve been milling about in theElden Ringcommunity lately, you might have heard tell of a certain player. There’s been a growing myth around anElden Ringplayer going by the name “let me solo her,” and they’re doing just that: helping others clear one of the game’s most demanding challenges.
With nothing but a jar on his head, a katana in each hand, and nigh-on butt-naked, Let Me Solo Her has become an online folk hero of theElden Ringendgame.

As many players have probably learned by now, becoming the Elden Lord is one thing inElden Ring. But much like other FromSoftware games, there aregreater challengeshiding deeper within the roots of its latest game.
One of those challenges is Malenia, Blade of Miquella. Despite being a pretty lore-relevant boss and arguably one of the hardest FromSoft has ever crafted, she’s easy to miss. AsRockPaperShotgun outlinesin its guide, she’s hidden behind multiple ventures and interactions.
Once you get to her, you’re faced with an incredibly daunting challenge. Malenia employs dangerous sword moves and a variety of scarlet rot-based attacks. She can lifesteal, essentially, undoing damage done to her and making summons a potential liability.
One summon, though, is becoming her kryptonite. Here’s where we meet Let Me Solo Her.

Just your average jar-headed hero
Asdetailed in a postto theElden Ringsubreddit, one player who was struggling to best Malenia called upon some help. And on summoning, u/sazed813 summoned “let me solo her,” a player wearing nothing but a jar on his head and dual-wielding katana. Letting him have his namesake’s wish, the player sat back and watched as Let Me Solo Her did exactly what he said he would.
The legend grew. More users reportedseeing this characterin their own game. Fan art and memes started to emerge.Elden Ringis immensely popular, and this jar-headed beast of a player was becoming a folk hero.
In a post from two days ago, Reddit user u/KleinTsuboiOW emerged, claiming to be Let Me Solo Her. “If you’ve been playingElden Ringand have tried to fight Malenia on PC, you might’ve crossed paths with a summon called ‘Let me solo her’,” they write. “I’ve been helping countless tarnished in their quest to defeat Malenia by going butt naked except for a Jar on my head.”
To lend some legitimacy, they also posted a video of themselves fighting Malenia. It is something else. To sit down and watch.
Those who have seen someone enter an arena in a FromSoft game butt-naked know: these players are the real deal. And sure enough, Let Me Solo Her does live up to the name.
It’s a testament to the multiplayer of FromSoftware working in the best way possible. Players that assist others becoming legends in other people’s stories, and some like Let Me Solo Her rising even higher.
