Anfossi was the executive producer of Deus Ex: Human Revolution

After the surprising resignation ofStephane D’Astous earlier in July, Eidos Montreal have announced that David Anfossi is the new head of the studio. Anfossi was the Executive Producer ofDeus Ex: Human Revolution, the studio’s first game and he’s been at Eidos Montreal since day one.

D’Astous left Eidos Montreal citing “irreconcilable differences” between the studio and the European branch of parent company Square Enix, afterpoor sales expectationsof theTomb Raider, Hitman: AbsolutionandSleeping Dogs.With Square Enixannouncing aTomb Raidersequel is in the works, one can only hope that there is a clear strategy at the publisher and that Anfossi won’t be distracted from having the studio finish theupcomingThief.
