I’m playing through it and will have more detailed impressions in the near future, but if you own a gamepad (preferably an Xbox 360 controller) and are prepared to useDurante’s resolution fix, which is a surprisingly painless process, then go on ahead. Games for Windows Live, while present, doesn’t get in your way as much as it could.
Despite not having even the most basic of PC-specific features, the game is absolutely worth playing if this platform is your only option. I just got into Blighttown, and although From Software stated that the frame rate there wouldn’t be improved from 360/PS3 (where it was rather terrible), I haven’t noticed any dips yet. That alone makes me more than happy to be playing throughDark Soulsyet again.
