While I’d never considered it before, I don’t think there are many artists out there more deserving of an 8-bit remix album than Daft Punk. I’m no expert on their work, but I have always loved their signature blend of heavy electronic funk with a catchy melody. If you happen to be like me and aren’t acquainted with the majority of Daft Punk’s repertoire and are a fan of chip music,Da Chip Volumes 1and2may be a great way to find a new appreciation for the group as the two releases together present a combined 24 remixes courtesy of some of the top names in the chip music scene.

You’ll find hits including “Da Funk,” “Around the World,” and “One More Time” along with several other standout tracks, and best of all, both collections are free from theDa Chip home page. My personal favorites are “Son of Flynn” by Rushjet1 onVolume 1and “Veridis Quo” by EvilWezil onVolume 2.
