The never ending saga of mobile games ripping off other titles has found a new victim withPushmofor the 3DS. The clone in this case is calledBlockShift, and the developer behind the project has even stated in the comments section on GoNintendo that he “was inspired by everything Intelligent Systems and Nintendo make.”

The person behind the Android game isn’t chargingBlockShift, so while he’s not making a profit from it, he is still potentially harmingPushmosales. The thing that really bothers me about this whole affair is thatBlockShiftcan read and take QR codes designed forPushmo, as demonstrated in the above video.

It’s one thing to be “inspired,” it’s downright sleazy to blatantly steal a feature designed specifically for another product.
