Celebrating the 20th anniversary film
If your regular Pikachu isn’t good enough for your Ash role-play inPokémon Sun & Moon, you’ll soon have the chance to get a unique Pikachu wearing Ash’s signature hat–one of them anyway. Codes will be available to download one and only one special Pikachu starting from September 19 and running through October 30, just a few days before the limited screening ofPokémon The Movie: I Choose You!
Each Pikachu will have a unique set of moves that corresponds to the area and era from which it hails. Code will appear on the following dates atPokemon.com.
The above variations are only for the originalPokémon Sun & Moon,but a Pikachu donning the same hat as Ash in the film will be available in the upcomingPokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.To receive it, you’ll have to see the movie where you’ll receive a QR code to scan.
Along with the QR code, if you go see the movie you’ll receive the unique Pokémon trading card “Ash’s Pikachu.” Reminds me of receiving the Ancient Mew card back when seeingPokémon The Movie 2000.
Make sure to mark September 19-25 on your calendar to get the best version, you’ll only get one shot at it.
