S rank requirements are fairly lax, as they allow you to use NG+ runs,anddo not limit the amount of saves you can trigger. In other words, if you die/lose a ton of time, you can manually exit the game and come back to a save file to continue your speedrun so the clock doesn’t continue to tick.
